The book is made by hand in a small print run of 10. One copy is in possession of Wim T. Schippers. One copy is in the paper collection of Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen. And a few are bought by collectors.
Pindakaaspost
for Wim T. Schippers
The Peanut-Butter Platform is a 4 by 12 meter large piece of art by Wim T. Schippers. It contains 1100 liters of peanut butter, and nothing else. Because the artwork often evokes strong reactions, Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen gave the visitors a chance to ask a question directly to visual artist and absurdist Wim T. Schippers (and sometimes his cat) by video messaging.
This book is a present from the museum to the artist to thank him for answering over 600 questions from visitors. It contains a selection of these messages, and also serves as a tangible document of this special online project. It was an honour to make something for Wim T. Schippers, and to have the chance of making an object out of just peanut butter coloured envelopes.
"Discussie? Ik heb helemaal niet met u gepraat. Ik heb geprobeerd een antwoord te vinden."
